Used about 3 weeks for Model Y before I got the Tesla Wall Charger installed. No probelms with the charging fuctions, Auto detected my Current to 13A which makes charging rate faster than 10A. Surge protector did work when I first charging during night peak time when the same socket connection has other devices in use (Heater, Dryer, Hair Dryer). Delay charging is working too, I can plug it in at 7 pm, delay for 5 hours, it will start charging at mid-night. Price is less than half of the Tesla one, Quality is Good enough, plus all the accessories comes with it.
Excellent product I had an electrician install a 15Amp plug and my EV5 charges between 3.2kw-3.5kw a hour within product specifications. I have also tested a 10 Amp plug which also works around 2kw -2.5kw or so depending on Amps chosen 8Amp , 10Amp .So far so good and simple to use thanks team.
Works perfectly as advertised. Comes with a nice bag and all the necessary wall mounting material for a permanent install. It's Tuya based. The app lets you start/stop charging as well as set the charge current (however, you can only change it while stopped, so you can't easily adjust based on excess solar, you'd need to stop/set current/start somehow). I have it connected with Home Assistant via "Tuya Local", which exposes a few entities (see screenshot). It seems to turn off the schedule after a charge, so I have an automation to turn the schedule back on (set text for "charge mode"). The app shows charge current and charge kW, as well as historical charges. All up, pretty good for a relatively cheap charger!
Great new unit. Upgraded this year. I've gotten a lot of dé power products for family and friends as we transition to more EVs. Much smaller footprint and same decent length of 6m compared to the older model with useful accessories for the unit ( - a water protection bag, a type 2 holder, a 15a to 10a adapter, decent quality handle and cable ties, good quality microfibre cloth and good quality square cable bag. If using this unit with a 10a PowerPoint and adapter be sure the unit is set to 10a. Overall very happy with the charger itself.
